It was only two weeks ago when Faiza Saeed of Cravath, Swaine & Moore could finally laugh about the seemingly never-ending three-way fertilizer war. Her client, Terra Industries, had spent a year fending off a hostile bid from rival fertilizer giant CF Industries and agreed to sell itself instead to a Norwegian fertilizer company called Yara International in a $4.1 billion all-cash deal.

“I’ve learned more about fertilizer than I ever knew was possible,” Saeed told The American Lawyer‘s Julie Triedman in her piece naming Saeed our Dealmaker of the Week.
