The Florida Supreme Court will ask the state Legislature to pay for 90 new judges throughout the state, noting budget cuts and the foreclosure crisis have slowed justice.
In an 18-page unanimous opinion, Chief Justice Peggy Quince said 37 new circuit judges and 53 new county court judges are needed — 20 of them in South Florida.
