As the partner who led both its Philadelphia office and its firmwide litigation practice jumps ship to Ballard Spahr, Pittsburgh-based Thorp Reed & Armstrong is splitting his duties between two attorneys.
The firm has named Joseph M. Donley as partner-in-charge of its Philadelphia office and Pittsburgh-based partner Robert J. Ridge as head of the litigation department, roles that were previously filled by partner Ira Silverstein, who said he is joining Ballard Spahr’s Philadelphia office in the hopes of working on larger, more complex cases.
