Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Thursday agreed to testify at a congressional hearing about the federal bailout of American International Group. The hearing, now scheduled for Jan. 27, will look at how and why AIG paid 100 cents on the dollar to certain banks in credit default swaps. Geithner is the former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, which worked with AIG on its bailout.
