Three firms that expanded their presence in New York this year got the desired result of boosting their practice capabilities, but they also took on a second office in another part of town.

Bingham McCutchen, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal and Cozen O’Connor all found themselves with offices in both midtown and downtown after completing mergers or acquisitions of large groups of lawyers.
