Before Chief Judge Vaughn Walker of the Northern District of California let the jury back into his courtroom Tuesday morning, drug dealer-turned-paid FBI snitch Deneal Bobo entered through a side door and took his place on the witness stand, his face inscrutable.

Meanwhile, four federal marshals formed a perimeter just behind counsel’s table where defendant Jason Lee sat. For a few quiet moments, the accused drug dealer stared at the government’s next witness.
