Working as an associate in a large law firm isn't as glamorous as being an Olympian, admits humor columnist The Snark. But there are a few similarities: wearing a uniform, competing fiercely for a few spots at the top of a podium and depending on teammates to pull you through. And though The Snark wonders how Olympians remain so dedicated to one goal of winning a shiny medal, he supposes it's that same spirit of striving for greatness that drives associates to churn out the hours.
