Eric Rhodes has slammed into a wall of frustration in his fight with his former lawyer, Michael Shinn, who he says pocketed over $40,000 of his settlement money due him from a 2004 car crash that badly injured him and turned his life inside out. The Oregon State Bar has filed charges of ethics violations against Shinn before the state Supreme Court. A three-member disciplinary trial panel will decide if he is guilty and, if so, what punishment to impose. It could be as severe as disbarment.

In the crash, Rhodes, 52, broke his neck in two places, which required him to wear a brace that kept him from moving his head for six months.
