A computer recovered by a woman from the trunk of a family car is subject to discovery in a matrimonial proceeding, a Manhattan judge has ruled. The woman's husband opposed allowing her to use information gleaned from the laptop, arguing she had improperly "seized" his personal, work-issued computer. But New York Supreme Court Justice Saralee Evans found that the wife had broken no laws by accessing the computer and threw out the husband's motion to suppress.
