McKee Nelson announced a new team focused on the market for so-called “covered bonds,” which refers to bonds sponsored by a bank and secured by a specific pool of loans or receivables.

Covered bonds are common in Europe, but new to the U.S. market. The New York-based McKee Nelson said it has advised on the first two covered bond transactions in the United States.
