Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, a 600-lawyer firm, has opened an office in Gainesville, Fla. The new location will be staffed by attorneys on a rotating basis. The team -- whose practices focus on IP, private equity, venture capital and licensing and collaborations -- plans to schedule a series of lectures on a range of startup company and technology issues and to be involved and provide support to the University of Florida's biotechnology business community.
