A Miami lawyer who was jailed by a Florida judge for missing a trial has been released from jail after posting a $10,000 bond. The lawyer, Jonathan S. Schwartz of Schwartz and Associates, claims he is the victim of an overzealous Collier County, Fla., judge with a bias toward "East Coast" lawyers from south Florida. He is planning to appeal his 10-day contempt sentence. "I think this is going to backfire on the judge," said Schwartz in an interview.
