Three Tibetan monks gave evidence in Spain's National Court on Monday as part of an investigation into alleged genocide by China's Communist troops in Tibet. The monks met with an investigative magistrate studying a lawsuit filed by the Madrid-based Committee to Support Tibet. The group alleges that more than 1 million Tibetans have been killed or have disappeared since Tibet was occupied by Chinese troops in 1951. No decision was expected Monday on whether Spain will file formal charges.
