Apple has tapped Kirkland & Ellis to represent it in the landmark antitrust lawsuit that the Department of Justice filed against the tech giant on Thursday, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.

The DOJ’s antitrust suit alleges that Apple engages in many exclusionary practices that illegally shut out competitors, hindering innovation and raising prices for consumers. Apple contends the suit, filed in federal court in New Jersey, “is wrong on the facts and the law.”
