Prosecutors with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on Thursday accused lawyers for former President Donald Trump of stretching “the boundaries of zealous advocacy” in their attempts to preclude evidence and delay the former president’s impending criminal trial.

The allegations were made in a newly public motion in limine, addressing defense allegations of discovery violations relating to a recent document dump from federal prosecutors. Trump’s defense counsel claimed the disclosures warranted dismissal of the indictment against their client, and that prosecutors with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s Office should face sanctions.
