Boston-based Peabody & Arnold partners are claiming a partial victory in defending the firm Cohen Cleary from a former client’s allegations that personal information belonging to her and more than 12,000 others was compromised during a data breach targeting the small firm’s server.

The attorneys were able to knock out nearly all claims in the data breach lawsuit—except for one count of negligence, which the plaintiff’s counsel with Cole & Van Note in Oakland, California, deems most important to its client’s case.
