Weeks after reaching a $2 billion settlement with the federal government and California to settle allegations it installed emissions-control defeat devices in Dodge Ram pickups, diesel engine maker Cummins now faces class action lawsuits from investors and from customers.

A complaint filed on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California alleges the company and current and former executives made materially false and misleading statements to investors, in violation of federal securities laws.
