A former general counsel of JCPenney is taking the legal reins of powersports retailer RumbleOn, which has racked up rapid growth since going public in 2017 but experienced numerous setbacks, including a plunge in its stock price.

The Dallas-based company announced Brandy Treadway’s appointment this week as chief legal officer. Treadway comes to the company from Martin Powers & Counsel, where she’s been a corporate partner for 17 months. Before that, she spent a decade at JCPenney, where she started as senior counsel and rapidly rose through the ranks.
