The Virginia Supreme Court has updated the fee structure used for compensating court-appointed counsel representing clients in appeals of criminal convictions and termination of parental rights, the state high court announced last week in a press release.
The increased fees will go into effect beginning with writ panels scheduled Oct. 17.
