Justice Emily Miskel, recently appointed to the Fifth District Court of Appeals, told a legislative committee the top issue concerning judges is safety and the public’s growing mistrust with the judicial system.

Miskel spoke remotely to the House of Representatives Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence. She had been asked by the committee to look into issues that concerned state court judges and report her findings.
