A state appeals court has knocked out major claims from prominent rapper Lil Wayne’s $20 million lawsuit against Ronald Sweeney, his former attorney and representative of 13 years, including causes of action for fraudulent inducement, legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty and unjust enrichment.

The Appellate Division, First Department’s opinion, which addressed the four different claims succinctly, saying each was devoid of any merit, appears to be a blow through the heart of the musician’s 10-claim, 2019-filed suit against Sweeney.
