A California federal judge appeared poised to dismiss former President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against Twitter Inc. seeking to reinstate his account on the social media platform that was suspended indefinitely after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

During a hearing Thursday in San Francisco, U.S. District Judge James Donato of the Northern District of California heard Twitter’s motion to dismiss the suit, which claims federal officials coerced and worked directly with the social media giant to violate the president’s First Amendment rights.
