A federal judge is threatening to throw out conservative lawyer and former President Donald Trump ally John Eastman’s lawsuit after Eastman and his attorney repeatedly failed to fix errors in their initial complaint challenging a House select committee’s subpoena related to the Jan. 6 riot.

The order to show cause issued in a minute order Tuesday said Eastman and his attorney, Charles Burnham of Burnham & Gorokhov, have until Dec. 28 to show why the case should not be dismissed for failing to fix the errors. The order was signed by U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper for the District of Columbia.
