A patent owner’s novel attempt at cementing venue in Texas has resulted in a precedential appellate order criticizing U.S. District Judge Alan Albright’s handling of the matter.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Wednesday ordered Albright to transfer patent actions brought by Ikorongo Technology LLC and Ikorongo Texas LLC against Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics to the Northern District of California.
