It might have nothing to do with the pandemic, but Harper Segui has seen a movement during the past year on giving younger lawyers more opportunities in cases—a trend she hopes will continue. A 2006 graduate of Mercer University School of Law, Segui got her first co-lead counsel appointment in multidistrict litigation this year in data breach cases against Blackbaud.

In her own work, the past year has been all about balance: balance between her home and work lives, and balance in her practice, which entails both traditional products liability matters and the newer field of data breaches.
