In the latest example of the so-called Big Law boomerang effect, intellectual property lawyer Christopher Burrell has vacated his in-house leadership role at Samsung Electronics America to rejoin Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath.
Burrell left the firm in 2014 and went to work for Samsung’s legal department in Washington D.C., where he most recently served as senior director and senior counsel overseeing the electronics giant’s appellate work. He also handled district court litigation, Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings and intellectual property disputes.
