Good morning and apologies for the delay. Why aren't lawyers responding to coverage of changing rules on law firm ownership? Is it protectionism? Or simply an unwillingness to consider the new opportunities that could emerge? Want to weigh in? Email me here. Want this dispatch in your inbox every Thursday? Sign up here.

A Lack of Imagination?

My editors and I have been discussing the reporting we've been doing on regulatory reform. We think the news out of Utah and Arizona opening the door to new forms of structuring law firms as well as new competition is a big deal, but the truth is, it hasn't had the impact we thought it would have—at least by the one metric we have at our disposal. Not as many people are clicking on these stories than we had hoped, or anticipated.

So, why am I using The Law Firm Disrupted to talk about this for the third week in a row? For one, I'm operating under the assumption that the readers of this briefing do care more about the issue than the wider legal ecosystem. If you're sick of it, please do let me know.
