Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. has named a new chief legal officer and reassigned Hari Nada, its former chief legal officer who had been the key whistleblower against its indicted former CEO, Carlos Ghosn.

The new head of the legal department is Hitoshi Kawaguchi, an executive vice president who had overseen sustainability, government affairs, communications and corporate services. He reports to an acting CEO.
