A longtime in-house leader at GlaxoSmithKline is parting ways with the pharmaceutical giant to join Philadelphia-based biotech startup Passage Bio as general counsel. 

During his more than 20 years at GSK, Edgar “Chip” Cale has served as vice president, general counsel and, most recently, senior vice president of legal corporate projects. In that role, he oversaw GSK’s multinational legal team for the firm’s global business development and corporate matters.
