U.S. Supreme Court justice Stephen Breyer has hired two litigation associates from Munger, Tolles & Olson in Washington to clerk for him in 2019 and 2020.

Celia Choy

Celia Choy and Dahlia Mignouna, both Yale Law School graduates, will continue in their practice until they head to the court in the summer of 2019, said former U.S .Solicitor General Donald Verrilli Jr., who helped found the firm’s Washington office in 2016.

Dahlia Mignouna

Verrilli said Choy and Mignouna are “brilliant lawyers” and will be missed. They also reflect the values of “diversity and inclusiveness and equity” that are built into the D.C. office, Verrilli said. More than half of the 12 lawyers in the office are women, and a third are racial or ethnic minorities.
