Mumbai, India-based pharmaceutical company Lupin Ltd. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Gavis Pharmaceuticals LLC andNovel Laboratories Inc. in a transaction valued at $880 million, it was announced July 23. Gavis, based in Somerset, specializes in developing and marketing niche pharmaceutical products in a variety of dosage forms. Its manufacturing facility will become Lupin’s first manufacturing site in the U.S.
Adiant Buys Technology Platform
Somerville-based digital media technology company Adiant has acquired a real-time trend technology platform, it announced July 21. Adiant acquired New York-based inSparq, which allows retailers and brands to track their trending products in real time.
