A Family Court judge has afforded comity to California law, concluding that the non-biological mother of two children has standing to seek custody and visitation.

In a visitation fight involving a divorcing lesbian couple, Suffolk County Family Court Judge Deborah Poulos ruled Kelly S. could press for custody and visitation of two children who were conceived by her partner by artificial insemination with a known donor.
