Now, after evading authorities for four months, Frankel reportedly fights extradition from a German jail cell. Experts see no loophole within the United States' extradition treaty with Germany that could block Frankel's ultimate return to face federal charges. Bringing him back to U.S. soil, however, could take federal prosecutors several months.
