JAMS announced the addition of the Justice Richard Aldrich to its panel. Aldrich will serve in a range of disputes in the JAMS Los Angeles Resolution Center. Previously, he served as associate justice on the California Court of Appeal, Second District, and the Ventura County Superior Court.

Sal Torres joins the board of directors of The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County. Torres is the senior director of the Americas Commercial Transactions team at Equinix, and was formerly mayor of Daly City.

Baker & Hostetler has welcomed two attorneys to its national health care industry team. Mark Kadzielski joins as a partner and Jeeyoung Kim as counsel. Both will be based in the Los Angeles office.

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration has appointed Kristen Kane its chief counsel in the Office of Tax Appeals. Kane will serve as acting director, and most recently served as deputy director of the California Competes Tax Credit Program at the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development.

Guy Ladetzky has joined Silicon Legal Strategy’s San Francisco office as a senior associate. Ladetzky previously was general counsel and chief operating officer at Requestek, and an associate in Fenwick & West’s corporate group.

Construction litigator Ronald Helmuth has joined national construction law firm Peckar & Abramson as a partner. Helmuth previously was a partner at Hunt Ortmann and will be based in Los Angeles.
