There was a little something for both plaintiffs attorneys and defense attorneys in a $25 million jury award Tuesday against Universal Corp., one of the world’s largest leaf tobacco merchants and processors.

On the plaintiffs side, the San Francisco mother-son lawyer team of Angela Alioto and Joseph Alioto Veronese touted the verdict as the largest ever issued by a Madera County, Calif., jury.
