“I offer my apologies to this court and all of the judges of California,” said Van Voorhis. After this week’s session before three special masters, the Commission on Judicial Performance could choose from a range of disciplinary actions, including taking away Van Voorhis’ post.

After listening to two days of testimony, the judge took the stand in his own behalf Tuesday afternoon, and will testify again today.
