Insist on diversity and help make tech an even better place for women in the future.

Who’s the best leader you’ve seen in action and why?

I respect leaders who put the interests of their institutions/people/the world first and don’t act in their own self-interest. We need more good leaders, especially world leaders.

After the events that have rocked Silicon Valley this year, are you more or less hopeful about the prospects for women in the tech industry?

I remain quite hopeful—the opportunities for women and minorities in the Silicon Valley are great.

Do lawyers bear any special responsibility in addressing gender stereotyping and discrimination in tech?

Yes, they need to keep focusing on and pushing for diversity, and the elimination of bias and pay disparity.
