John “Jack” Sheridan, a former co-managing partner of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, has joined Latham & Watkins as a corporate partner in the firm’s emerging companies practice.

Sheridan, who joined Wilson Sonsini straight out of law school in 1986, has worked on some of Silicon Valley’s most iconic deals. He represented YouTube from its initial financing through its $1.65 billion acquisition by Google Inc. in 2006, as well as French enterprise software company Business Objects SA on its $7 billion sale to German software giant SAP AG the following year.
