Ballack represents some of the largest tech companies as a key member inside Weil’s technology and intellectual property transactions practice. She advised Yahoo Inc. on the IP and tech issues in its plan to spin off its Alibaba holdings, and she represented Intel Corp. in its $16.7 billion purchase of Altera Corp. She also advised GlobalFoundries in acquiring IBM’s commercial semiconductor business, which included a portfolio of more than 16,000 patents.
