David Quinto, a co-founding partner of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan who joined Davis Wright Tremaine’s Los Angeles office a year ago, is on the move again.

VidAngel Inc., a startup that lets customers filter sex, profanity and other objectionable content from streaming movies, has hired the veteran litigator as its first general counsel. Quinto’s hire comes two months after the Provo, Utah-based company was sued by four major Hollywood studios—Disney Enterprises Inc., Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp. and Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.—for allegedly operating an unlicensed video on-demand service, according to a 19-page complaint.
