SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge on Friday rejected a bid to block the three largest U.S. passenger airlines from making policy changes that have raised prices for multicity trips.

U.S. District Judge Maxine Chesney of the Northern District of California was not persuaded by arguments that the airlines had advance knowledge of each other’s plans and broke antitrust rules in making the maneuver.
