SAN JOSE — The fate of the latest Silicon Valley no-poach litigation is anyone’s guess. Lawyers for Pixar, Dreamworks and other animation studios were left with few clues Friday as to whether they might succeed in fending off plaintiffs’ bid to certify a class.

U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh, who isn’t exactly known as a wallflower on the bench, introduced her new approach at Friday’s hearing—at least in this case.
