SAN FRANCISCO — The multiple-front intellectual property battle between networking rivals Arista Networks Inc. and Cisco Systems Inc. intensified this week with new lawyers, new charges and a looming decision from the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Lawyers for Arista on Monday lobbed antitrust counterclaims at Cisco in the copyright lawsuit Cisco filed in 2014 as part of a multipronged IP offensive against its smaller rival.
