SAN FRANCISCO — Circuit Judge Barry Silverman plans to step down next October as an active judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Silverman, 64, of Phoenix, announced his intentions to assume senior status in a letter this week to President Barack Obama.
