SAN FRANCISCO — The state Attorney General’s office sent final warning letters this week to a few dozen companies still not in compliance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act. The 2010 law requires certain companies to disclose what efforts they are or are not taking to ensure the absence of human trafficking in their global supply chain.

“Your company’s failure to post the disclosures or to provide a satisfactory explanation for its non-compliance may result in an enforcement action by the Attorney General’s Office without further notice,” the letters warn, according to a copy obtained by The Recorder. Until now, compliance was voluntary.
