SAN FRANCISCO — After disclosing that some driver information had been compromised in a 2014 data breach, Uber Technologies Inc. filed a lawsuit Friday aimed at tracking down those behind the cyberattack.

The complaint, filed in the Northern District of California by lawyers at Perkins Coie, brings claims against a John Doe defendant under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and California’s penal code.
