SAN FRANCISCO — Video gamer Electronic Arts faced an all-out blitz this past week, as plaintiffs firms brought the house in two different Bay Area federal courtrooms.

Less than two hours after a suit over "Madden NFL" royalties was submitted to a jury in San Francisco, an Oakland judge weighed certification of a potentially massive antitrust class action on behalf of hundreds of thousands of college players.
