SAN FRANCISCO — After waiting for nearly a year, Bay Area lawyer William Orrick III has cleared his final hurdle to a Senate vote on his nomination for the U.S. District Court.
Democrats and Republicans reached an agreement late Thursday to vote, likely next week, on Orrick’s nomination to fill the Northern District seat once held by his father.
