YuMe helps companies get their message across on multiple screens. The Redwood City-based video advertising company crafts digital campaigns and then makes sure the right people are tuning in. Consumers watching videos on their computers, cellphones or Internet TVs see ads when YuMe’s “Relevance Engine” determines that they are the target audience.

To buoy its growth, YuMe has raised serious capital, counting Accel Partners, BV Capital, DAG Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Menlo Ventures and Intel (INTC) Capital among its investors. And YuMe expanded its ranks in January with the acquisition of Crowd Science, an audience-targeting company.
