SAN FRANCISCO — Contra Costa deputy district attorney Jill Henderson on Monday dropped her political retaliation and gender discrimination suit against her employer, citing an approved settlement agreement between the two parties.

Henderson’s lawyer, Kathryn Dickson of Dickson Geesman in Oakland, said Monday that while she couldn’t discuss the particulars of the settlement, Henderson is “satisfied” with the outcome. In her suit filed in September in federal court in the Northern District, Henderson alleged that Contra Costa DA Mark Peterson wrongfully denied workplace opportunities to prosecutors who had supported his political rival in the 2010 election for the post and that the office discriminated against her and other female prosecutors based on their sex.
